USH Host Cancellation Policy

This Host Cancellation Policy outlines the payments cancellation fees for Hosts when a confirmed Match is cancelled by the Guest or Host. A reservation can be cancelled by calling (310) 824 – 4908 or emailing [email protected]. USH will use reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute or problem between a Guest and a Host, and USH reserves the right to modify the amounts each party is required to pay based on specific circumstances. USH has the final decision on all disputes, problems, charges and refunds, and USH's decision will be binding on the Guest and Host. * Cancellation Fee will be deducted from next Host Payment; if no Host Payment within 60 days, Host will pay the Cancellation Fee.
- In the event that Host receives a check from USH for more than is actually due to Host pursuant to the Host Terms and Conditions and Host Cancellation Policy, Host shall not cash such check and shall immediately return the check to USH. USH will inform Host by telephone or e-mail that it will be issuing a stop payment order upon the check. Should Host deposit such check after being informed by USH that a stop payment order is being processed, any bank charges incurred by Host resulting from the deposit of the check are solely the responsibility of Host.

Alternatively, USH at
its sole and absolute discretion, may utilize the overpayment amount as a
credit and will inform Host in advance if it intends to do so. USH will, upon
receipt of the returned uncashed check, issue a replacement check to Host in
the correct amount and forward the replacement check to Host by expedited
mail/delivery service. The failure of Host to return the uncashed check so
that it is received by USH at its offices in Los Angeles, California, within
one week after receipt of the check by Host will result in the imposition of a $100.00
fee due from Host to USH.
Guest Cancellation before or Move In
In the event that the Guest cancels their stay with the Host (regardless prior to or after the move in), USH will utilize its best efforts to place other Guests with the Host (if applicable). Host shall receive payment for the days the Guest stayed at the Homestay.
In the even the Guest is changing a Homestay, the Host may be paid 50% of the day the Guest is moved to another Host.
